With over 15 years’ experience and a background in claims, James Reynolds is a highly respected expert in leveraging CPRI solutions for financial institutions and traders globally. In September 2022, he was appointed Deputy CEO.
Reynolds was named BPL’s Deputy CEO alongside Charlie Radcliffe in 2022. In addition to leading several of BPL’s largest client relationships, he also is involved in managing strategic and operational matters across the group, such as quality assurance and HR.
With board responsibility for various BPL international offices, Reynolds works between the New York, London, Singapore and Geneva offices, ensuring a seamless service for BPL’s multinational financial institution and trading clients. He regularly speaks at CPRI industry forums and events across the world to help foster understanding within the banking industry as to the benefits of the CPRI product in terms of qualifying for capital relief.
Reynolds is a skilled Claims expert, having brokered on the front line during and after the 2008 global financial crisis. With this background and his deep sector knowledge, he plays an active role in BPL’s market advocacy initiatives, as well as the development of its client base and portfolio of solutions.
Indeed, Reynolds plays key role in pushing the envelope on CPRI, helping to expand the scope of its potential buyers and pioneering new use cases. He is particularly active, for instance, in exploring how product can be deployed in the aviation finance space and furthering awareness of its effectiveness – both in terms of derisking and unlocking previously untapped value for clients.
James joined BPL in 2014 from Willis, where he held the title of Divisional Director. He holds a degree in History and Politics from the University of Sheffield and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
