A picture of BPL's new hire, Catherine Aubert

BPL, the world’s leading broker specialising exclusively in credit and political risk insurance (CPRI), has appointed Catherine Aubert as Director. A highly respected figure in the space, Aubert brings close to 30 years of experience to BPL, where she will work closely on strategy, client servicing and professional support.

Specifically, Aubert will advise on structure and direction at a corporate level, while also supporting BPL teams on key clients and advocating a broader application of CPRI product across a wider range of users. Her background in banking means she is primed to help enhance BPL’s client service delivery and risk management strategies too. Finally, her role will extend to leveraging her invaluable experience to provide mentorship, coaching and guidance to what is the largest CPRI-dedicated broking team in the market.

Aubert joins BPL from Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking where she held the position of Managing Director, as well as built and led the bank’s Credit Insurance Distribution division for 25 years.

Reporting to BPL’s Group CEO, Sian Aspinall, Aubert will work primarily out of BPL’s Paris office and in connection with its London office.

Sian Aspinall, Group CEO, BPL, comments: “Catherine has long been a highly eminent figure in our market, and at BPL, we’ve had front row seats to her keen strategic mind and intricate knowledge of CPRI in action. Given her informed perspective and expertise, it made perfect sense to invite Catherine to join us – we have no doubt of the tremendous value she will bring, and we are delighted to have her on board.”

Catherine Aubert, Director, BPL, adds: “After 25 wonderful years at Société Générale, I am incredibly excited to embark on this new challenge. Having had the opportunity to get to know BPL for 25 years, I have been continually impressed on how they deliver in all situations – even amid high pressure and complexity. Committed relationships have been key to the business’ success as well as the values with which I identify: fairness, transparency, ethics, expertise, client focus and care, with always a solutions-oriented, win-win approach. I look forward to my next chapter in the market at BPL.”

Aubert holds a MSc in Management from EDHEC Business School and trained at CELSA Sorbonne University in Communications.

News of Aubert’s appointment comes ahead of BPL Paris’ 25th anniversary next year.
