Political risk and structured credit expert Lizzie Thomas joins the insurance broker as a Director.

BPL, the world’s leading broker specialising exclusively in credit and political risk insurance (CPRI), has today appointed Lizzie Thomas as Director in a move to bolster its broking teams in both Europe and the US. With over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, Lizzie will be heavily involved in work with some of BPL’s largest financial institution clients across Europe and the US, in line with the company’s growth strategy.

Lizzie joins BPL from Marsh, where she was Lenders Solutions Group Leader, UK – Credit Specialties. Here, she also held positions in aviation and aerospace, as well as political risk and structured credit-related roles.

Reporting to James Reynolds, Deputy CEO, Lizzie will work primarily out of BPL’s London headquarters and in connection with its New York office.

An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Lizzie holds a Batchelor’s degree in Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick, as well as a Master’s degree in International Peace and Security from King’s College London.
